Hi, I’m Erin!

Psychedelic and multimodality facilitator and guide of Let’s Shall journeys.

After many years of building a relationship and in mentorship with medicine practitioners, plant medicines and the psychedelic experience, I’m extremely passionate about what can unfold in our lives and all our relationships, when we engage with these medicines from a place of reverence, curiosity and intent. They have been pivotal in my personal journey of exploration and healing through grief and other challenges and opportunities over the years. Now I am dedicated to supporting and educating about this scared and powerful process in my community here in Toronto, ON, as well as virtually to those further away.

My intention is to co-explore and support others in their process, through the discomforts and challenges, and ultimately, together, make hard things easier.

My practice has brought me to work with folks from all walks of life, navigating various transitions, relationships, emotional hardships and more. I’m excited to perhaps walk with you along some of your path.

With love & care, Erin

What can I expect from this process?

What does a guided ceremony journey look like?

A holistically guided experience will entail support and empowerment through intentional preparation, ceremony & effective integration of a psilocybin ceremony. The how, why, best practices, holistic resources, individual recommendations, and a variety of healing modalities woven throughout.

The intent of this is to mentor and guide folks through the cultivation of mindfulness and honouring the process. And in doing so, increase the potential benefits and insights derived from the ceremony, and to nurture peace and empowerment for future life circumstances or medicine work.

Medium to high dose 1:1 (solo) and small group ceremonies means between 2-4g dose, depending on personal tolerance and intent. Sacred community medium dose journeys involve 1.5-2.5g doses depending on tolerance and experience.

Why folks may want a guided ceremony?

The psychedelic experience can be very nuanced for the “untrained” mind. Perhaps navigating without intent, understanding, consideration, or experiencing challenges along the way that may feel unsettling or jarring.

With the support of expert practice and guidance, an individual or group can be facilitated in a safe space of trust, intentionality, and increased efficacy. Creating the environment for the medicine and the journeyer to reach greater potentials of awareness, unlocking, releasing, and activating throughout each stage of the process.

Although guide and medicine are important to the potential success of the process, so is a commitment and dedication from each participant to their own journey, and continued practice throughout and especially afterward. Lasting benefits will depend on engagement with integration and resources offered post-ceremony.

What are some potential outcomes of a ceremony?

The nature of psilocybin is to slow/deactivate the default mode network which allows for subconscious and unconscious to move into awareness while promoting new connections and neural pathways, allowing for shifts in perspective. Many of people’s self-limiting beliefs, patterns or behaviour development, trauma, emotional or mental blocks, etc come from these places. During and in the months after ceremony folks have experienced:

  • in ceremony moments of mysticism, transcendance

  • greater clarity in their authentic self, actions & life

  • understanding of blocks and the ability to move more consciously through them

  • release and peace from traumatic life experiences

  • increased sense of presence and gratitude

  • self-love & new self-perceptions, inner knowing

  • reduced limiting beliefs and behaviors

  • relief from addictive tendencies

  • increased feelings of connection with self and relations, and more.

 FAQs

  • Currently, most psychedelics including psilocybin are not legal in Ontario, although they are currently being considered for decriminalization or legalization due to their therapeutic and breakthrough medical potential. Because of this, the services of Erin Cochrane and Let’s Shall do not provide or sell psychedelics or psilocybin. Erin’s role is to educate, provide harm reduction services and act as trip sitter and guide for those who choose to consume these substances for intentional purposes.

  • Solo (1:1) ceremony is intended for more individualized and personalized attention and time together in co-exploration of an individual’s inner experience and modalities used during the sessions.

Small groups (2-4 ppl) are intended for folks who may have a partner, family member(s) or friends who wish to engage in this work together (relationship work) or in shared experience to deepen connections.

Conscious community groups (8-10 ppl) are spaces to experience the medicine and the beauty of shared sacred experience. These can amplify a sense of connection, harmony and compassion for others.

Preparation, guided ceremony & integration are offered with all program sizes, although the delivery alters due to individualized versus group energy and attention.

  • Folks will be welcomed and oriented into the space. We will tune in to current state, expectations, emotions, any questions or concerns, introductions if in group setting, and share in intentions. After preparing and consuming the medicine, folks will be guided through some basic somatic (body work), meditations and breathwork to begin to open the mind and body and create feelings of safety for journeying.

Participants will be encouraged to focus inward for the majority and main part of the experience, eyes closed or with an eye mask on to deepen the connection. Depending whether solo or in a group, there will be continued body and breath work offered and guided, aromatherapy, meditations, energy work, and sound healing through music or instrumentals and singing to release stored emotions, tension and energy.

We will close with a soft landing, sharing fruits or a light soup, guided sharing, prompts for integration and self-care in the following days.

  • Community Group - $315 - $1050 + tax per person, depending the setting. Either retreat or day.

Small Group - $535 + tax per person, includes 9 hrs + holistic resources + support throughout

    Solo 1:1 - $810 + tax, includes 9 hrs + holistic resources + support throughout.

Additional 1:1 sessions for any offering, for preparation or further integration - $90 + tax per hour

  • Bad trips or challenging experiences can occur, however they most often occur when folks are either in a setting that feels unsafe, have not had sufficient preparation for the experience, or may be re-experiencing challenging emotions.

We will proactively manage for bad trips through trust, education, preparation, holistic tools and resources provided before and during. During the experience, I am well-versed and equipped to handle challenging experiences through breath or bodywork, vocal releases, grounding techniques, etc. and have contingency and safety plans in place.

  • There are some prescription medications that have contraindications with psilocybin/ other psychedelics and become unsafe to take together. Talking to a pharmacist or doctor is highly recommended for anyone interested, and we are unable to accept folks taking Lithium or opioids. Also folks who have a history of severe mental conditions or disorders such as bipolar, severe depression, etc, unless you have received express guidance from your psychotherapist.

  • These medications work on different systems in the brain and therefore some may pose greater risks than others. These will be evaluated on a case by case basis during the application process.

For some folks there may be recommendations of tapering off the medications in the few days before the ceremony if adviseable by your doctor or therapist. Or for others may render the psilocybin less effective and therefore require a higher dose for same effects.

  • It is encouraged to take a minimum 1, if not 2-3 days after your ceremony off for rest, nourishing and self-care. It is normal and you may expect to experience fatigue, emotional exhaustion, slight headache the day after in particular. Some folks have reported a sense of being ungrounded, unfocused or other such feelings for up to a week after the ceremony as you re-adjust in your emotional, spiritual and physical body to the clearings, new perspectives, etc.

Contrast (hot/cold therapy) can be especially beneficial the day or two after to soother and restore the body. Give yourself patience and grace during this time, you will be encouraged to complete the integration prompts, daily self-care practices, touch points with Erin, or further contact and support as needed.

  • It is highly not recommended to operate a vehicle up to 12 hours after a ceremony, as visual and other sensory perceptions can be distorted. Please arrange transportation home with a trusted loved one or private ride share option. Public transportation can be jarring on the senses in the time following a ceremony.

  • You will be provided with a complete suggestions and best practices overview for preparing your mind and body to receive the medicine and be energetically clear. Primarily will be suggestions around diet, hydration, reflections and self-care practices beforehand.

  • Since losing my mother at 8 years old, it spurred an early curiosity into life’s great mysteries, big questions and stepping into “adulthood” very young. I explored many substances and experiences through my youth and through this process began to develop my relationship with the psychedelic experience and “tripsitting” or guiding others.

As a student and practitioner of holistic health for over a decade now, my early relationship with consciousness-expanding substances and medicines has matured and deepened immensely through my time with medicine keepers, teachers and guides across a variety of cultures, traditions and practices.

After experiencing the healing potential of these incredible allies for many years, I have felt called and aligned to learn, train, share, explore and guide others in the process so we may move into greater harmony and liberation with ourselves and all beings.
